Amezaiku – A Japanese Craft

My 8 year old inspired me to scour the internet for Edible Art, thanks to DIY youtube videos. I was delighted to come upon this great article on Shinri Tezuka, “a Tokyo-based candy artisan. He uses the traditional Japanese craft of amezaiku to create sculptures with hot sugar”.

Dare to try this at home? We will certainly make the effort although our ability is not much for Shinri Tezuka’s hot sugar sculptures. Edible crayons it is – baby steps….
